Customize your Windows - Chapter 4: Stardock Object After a lot of time without posting anything I'm back from vacation, and my vengeance will MUAJAJAJAH biblical XDDDDD.
and strip and I have several more things to post but this was what I wanted most, putting it off long after I've written a fairly comprehensive tutorial for Stardock Object Dock Plus. It is a very useful program to create a series of bars and folders to organize more comfortably above the icons and give a much more creative and beautiful as the Windows desktop. This bar is similar to that found in the Macintosh operating systems known for their incredible care interfaces. You can see some examples in the following images:
You can download icons and funds from its official website
http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ I use the commercial version 1.2 which you can download by mule on this link:
Stardock Object Dock Plus v1. 20.520.zip
This tutorial is based on that version but do not think there are too many differences with the new 1.9 version that I have not been proven and if you want you can download from here:
1.90.535u Object Dock Plus. rar After the simple installation where you only have to run the installer and enter a password obtained from the key generator next to the file are loaded two elements:
- One archive:
- A bar of programs:
Both can be very useful but if you do not like any of you can delete or if you want but you can put several on the desktop.
The first thing is to put the program in English, for that click in the empty area of \u200b\u200bthe binder with the right button and select the "Dock Settings"
Then click on "Language Options" General Section:
select the language of Cervantes "osease" the "English" and already have at our disposal a more comfortable interface.
most important thing now is to ensure that the elements are always visible on the desktop. To this we must ensure that when you press the button "Show Desktop" Quick Launch menu or when pulseis equivalent combination of keys (Windows key + D) No such materials are minimized and that while no are placed above other windows programs and making access to them.
To achieve this by clicking on the edge of the bar of programs with the right button and select the option "Fit Options"
In the "General" tab we click on "Advanced" and make sure q is selected the first option to avoid to minimize:
In this menu you can select also the effect that show icons bar after clicking on them.
Then on to the "Positioning" and there select the position of the bar, which in this case should be "Always On Everything" and for convenience I always put it on the "Up" and "Align Center" .
Then in the "Appearance" we can select a larger size for icons so that the bar is more comfortable d use and also select the background image to suit the look of our Windows:
then configure the file, for it will click with the right-click an empty space the same as we did above and select "Attach Options."
Once in the setup menu to the section headed "Positioning." My recommendations for configuring the Dock are:
- Select the option "Show in system tray" or "Do not show in the tray or bar tasks, this does not appear in the taskbar which is somewhat uncomfortable as this taking up space needlessly.
- Select also the "Show dock as drawer" in my case "right" because that area is normally empty desk and I have the icons to the left so that the coupling would interfere when select if you were on your side. The option "Enable under Mouse" indicates that the coupling will be hidden on the right showing only one edge and that showed in how many positions the mouse over it. In the bar below the speed can be selected easily with which we want to display the attachment.
We now see that the coupling has been a little tight but enough that we go to the top edge with the mouse as shown so that we can enlarge catch:
Hot spots are also important but I I have actually disabled because they annoy me. In the section on "Hot Spots" the file links can be configured. Hot spots are areas that you configure your desktop so that when we move the mouse over them activate the couplings and show us. If we want to enable or disable a zone with enough to click on the arrow indicating the area and choose the action. In my case, as I said, I disabled all hot spots that are there by default because I simply display on your desktop and not on top of the programs you are using.
Once the basic configuration of the coupling behavior can make them colorful and more useful.
This can eg add or remove tags, rename, select your color, shape, etc. All this is achieved in the "Labels & Styles."
To add items can simply drag them to the label you want to or can use the menu "Add Entry-> new shortcut" where you can select the program you want and put a custom icon that makes it more attractive, besides being able to add elements that brings the coupling.
If you want to eliminate any element on any label we have enough with which dragged him outside and released him on a spray:
bar this program originally designed to replace the Start bar Windows to resemble that used by some operating systems for Macintosh computers. This is why also that shows the programs that are in it but if we do not want view these programs, simply select the section Coupling called "Contents." If, however, if you want to use as a home bar is only going to the General section and select the option "Hide the Windows taskbar" so it does not bother us and it overlaps the dock and then place it where it best seem. We can also add if desired, to show us programs in the system tray section of "Contents".
To add items to attach bar programs by simply dragging and dropping them on the bar and to remove them drop out of it the same way in the archive.
Most of the icons of programs that will not let go of a good resolution and not very well stay in the bar. To make everything more "colorful" enough to go down any icon packs or emule free Web where you can find collections of icons very good resolution and looks very professional. You can also select format images. "Png" they usually have better resolution than images. "Ico". To change the icon of a file simply click on it with the right mouse button and select "Enter properties to Dock" where you can change the icon for one of a list that we Object Dock displays icons or directly from the network have downloaded. To separate the elements and provide a better structure can also add separators. We can also change the name to show us when we move the mouse over the bar element. Another very useful options to display this menu is that the program window opens maximized, minimized or normal size and a more advanced is that you can pass arguments to the program. Object Dock
also brings a number of elements that can be placed in the two types of fittings such as clocks, calendars, displays the time, etc. From the "Trailers."
aseguraos
As final data that in the General section is selected the "Load Object Dock at Home" if you want this program to load automatically when Windows starts.
